If after an infidelity, you got divorced from your spouse then many years later, he decides to return to you, would you give him another chance? In our story today Susana decided to give Juan a second chance and of course it was one of her best decisions ever.
There are some people who shut the doors of forgiveness and reconciliation as soon as their divorces are completed. To these individuals, second chances are not allowed. However, the case of Juan Silva, 61 years old, and Susana Aguilar, 59, turned out to be different as this couple decided to start all over again after 30 years of divorce. They decided to reconcile because of the undying love they have for each other. A love those 30 long years of separation couldn’t quench.
This couple had initially gotten married when they were very young and had three children: Mauro, Yanina and Juan Pablo. They were happily married not until they started having issues which included Juan’s infidelity. When it got to the point that they couldn’t sort out their issues they decided that a divorce was the solution needed at that time.
In a media interview the couple narrated their experience.
“The story began many years ago, when I met Juan while taking care of a family member. I am from Reconquista while he is from Goya. I thought he was a good and hardworking boy. We both loved each other and wanted to get married but we had problems because we were kids, I was 16 and he was 18. We ended up marrying in Argentina with our parents’ consent”
Susana narrated how after some years, her husband met someone at his work place and they started dating. This led to their separation but they still maintained contact since they had three kids together. They had both moved on with their lives as Juan got married to his new lover but this didn’t stop their cordial relationship.
Susana narrated how Juan had always wanted to return to her as his marriage with the other woman failed. So each time he came over to spend time with the kids he would love to spend the night at his ex-wife’s place. There was a time when the house where Juan lived caught fire and he had nowhere to stay, so his youngest son asked Susana to give his father an accommodation to which she agreed due to the circumstances, without knowing that destiny wanted to join them together again.
As time went by, Juan confessed to Susana that he was still in love with her and was very happy being at her side and for that reason he asked her to marry him again. This was after they had been separated for thirty years.
“There was always love between us despite that we were separated. He always complimented me and told me I was very pretty. We went everywhere, we traveled a lot then one day, while we were at home, he asked me to marry him again” Susana recalled.
Their children were not surprised by their parents’ decision. They gave them their full support because they had noticed that they got along very well. Everyone was very happy and they supported this couple as they tied their nuptial knot last October. Finally during the interview the couple said that they feel very glad to have given each other a second chance to love and be happy again.
If there love was able to conquer all obstacles after thirty long years, what makes you feel that your love can’t overcome the crises you are currently going through in your marriage?
