Support -Talking about the situation with people who have also experienced this level of trauma is helpful. A positive support environment includes people sharing their stories, feelings, & emotions, while listening to yours at the same time.
Education – True healing comes from learning. This is a time to educate yourself and re-educate yourself on how to have a better marriage moving forward into the future. We are all blessed to have such a wealth of information at our fingertips!
Plan – support groups and education can take you so far. But there comes a time where you have to create a plan on how you’re going to move forward. Having a coach, a therapist, your religious support team, or a course can provide the guidance and support you need as an individual and as a couple during this time.
